just an average guy. i like tesla, bitcoin, elon, and trump. i believe in bitcoin and own $mstr.

I don't know what you guys do for a living, but here on X everyone's always discussing AI tools, AI models, software (app) development, and so on. I'm curious — how many of you are business owners in traditional industries? Restaurants, industrial goods, B2C, B2B trading? I'm one of them. I run a B2B business in what most people would call a traditional industry: international trading. I've been experimenting with AI tools for a while, starting with the simple stuff — proofreading, content generation, marketing — and moving into building actual business tools and web apps. For example, I had ChatGPT generate the HTML for a weight calculator for our products, then pasted it into Elementor on our WordPress site. It took about 3 hours to get everything right — shape selection, density, dimensions, quantities — and it works. More recently I've been picking up things like setting up SSH keys, networking multiple PCs together, running a VPS, using Tailscale, and working with Git and GitHub. I had to learn concepts like pull requests and pushes — just a few weeks ago I was still pushing feature updates and bug fixes straight to our production server. These things sound complicated, and I wouldn't say I understand SSH 100% even now. But nailing down these basics and setting up my own development environment has been huge. I also learned how to connect AI models to external software via MCP — I used Claude Code to build MCP servers for our own web app, so now I can work with it from Muse or ChatGPT. These days, creating an invoice doesn't even require opening the web app — I press and hold the Action button on my iPhone, tell Muse the details out loud, and the invoice is sitting ready on our web app when I finish talking. I can even have it emailed straight to the customer. I believe this kind of personal infrastructure is about to become an essential business skill. Traditionally, running a business meant you didn't need to know the technical details — you outsourced them. You don't build your own website or set up your own ERP; you hire someone so you can focus on your core work. The problem is, outsourced solutions are never quite perfect. But when you combine deep domain expertise with the ability to build your own tools, AI becomes far more than a chat box. That personal infrastructure makes all the difference. Curious how you guys feel about this.

What’s one thing that’s missing in codex that you wish we had?

Focus. The ChatGPT app is powerful and has many features. It does a lot but the features feel disconnected and competing with each other. Like putting many apps into one shell. For example, we have Codex, Dots, scheduled tasks and Spaces. There is some feature overlap. It's not clear when to use what and how to use them together for best results. So, giving the app one clear, main focus. One central job-to-be-done. As powerful as needed, as simple as possible.

I agree. And putting ChatGPT and Codex as a switch button (use symbols) instead of a dropdown would save users’ time.

$NKE Be honest to yourself: When was the last time you bought anything from Nike or Nike related? I’ll go first… a Shohei Ohtani jersey…when he was playing for the LA Angels. Lol It’s been a looooong time.

Personally, I do think Nike has been designing apparel and shoes that are less appealing than they did many years ago. But I still like the brand and the logo. I want them to make a comeback, like how they were 10 years ago, or maybe even more than 10 years ago, and focus more on sports, real sports.

@AnthropicAI Same here
Claude suspended my account for rule violations, even though I was doing my usual work, the same things I have done throughout the year -coding -researching -writing Nothing illegal @karpathy @bcherny would appreciate if you could help, the appeal process is 10 days :(

We’re moving from “AI helps me work” to “AI works and I approve.” That transition feels bigger than people realize.

I’m debating with myself. I believe $BTC is nowhere near its top of course. That would mean that $MSTR is nowhere near its top. Then why don’t I own more of it, if its amplified Bitcoin? I can’t think of a single reason. You?

Donald Trump is the most corrupt president in our history. When Democrats get the gavels, we will investigate him and his family and get justice for the American people.

Anything that makes people work harder will be dead in an agentic world. Prediction: Human will not code. Human will not write. Human will not draw. All types of editors/IDE = no future. Make it easier for human to give feedback in the granularity they prefer. As agents get better, human will do less detailed work, but more vibe work. Make it easier for human to describe their vibe is the key.
Notion = good for humans to edit but bad for agents. Github = good for agents but bad for humans. What's the product that gives us best of both worlds??

I like the phrase “vibe work” — it captures exactly how I feel. I’m most productive and creative when I’m out walking my dog, talking things through and brainstorming ideas with ChatGPT in voice mode — or when I hit the Action button on my iPhone and talk straight to Muse, asking it to create a document in my business web app. I feel this is going to be a norm. Anything that requires too much of my attention consumes my mental bandwidth and i have to give it up.

Question for solo founders: How do you learn marketing?

I paid a guy $15,000 to help me improve my website, and it ended up being money well spent — working with him taught me what marketing really is. Honestly, the $15,000 was worth it just to get to know him. Now my marketing goal is to give prospects the feeling that we’re a company whose products and services are worth premium prices.

today's $META @Muse use case I graduated 30 years or more ago. I did my undergrad in CS from Univ of Mysore. Have my degree "certificate" but one of the Univ which I wanted to be a guest lecturer at says "We need a copy from your University". Ok Muse figure this out. It did. Turns out there's a "remote" service in Mysore just for this. You fill out a form, they will walk to the University and turn in the form, which is then Mailed (directly and sealed) to the institution requesting it. Muse filled out the form, paid the $25. why would you do things the old way? Why?

Here is my case today. PDF Expert started asking me to pay for Premium again, even though my subscription runs to January 2027. To get support to take me seriously I needed the original receipt — buried somewhere in my inbox from January, the kind of search that would have taken me forever. I asked Muse, and it found it in seconds: the January 14 receipt, $79.99, #2880-9106. Then, without me ever leaving the chat, it drafted the support email — account email, subscription term, receipt, everything they’d ask for — and sent it to @PDFExpert directly. They replied the same evening with a ticket number. The whole thing was handled in one conversation.

There is a massive wave coming that almost no business is ready for - agentic traffic <1% of consumers are using agents now, but that will change and usher in a new era of consumer demand How do you manage 5x the inbound calls? Qualify 10,000 new leads? Fulfill 500 new orders?

Requests can be made more often becuase of agents. A human may only reach less than five vendors, but an agent may try ten.
