For Hunger Action Day, I visited the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, which has provided hunger relief across our community for 45 years. Amid a cost-of-living crisis and cuts to SNAP benefits, it's essential that North Carolina families have access to immediate food assistance.

Today, @RepJoeMorelle, @ValerieFoushee, and I hosted a shadow hearing on election security, where we spoke with voting rights experts about recent efforts to interfere with elections in NC and across the country. Voting is a fundamental right, and we will work to ensure that every North Carolinian who is eligible to vote can make their voice heard.

We saw the tragic effects of misinformation during Hurricane Helene—people across Western NC died because of it. I met with experts working to ensure North Carolinians get the resources and information they need. We must stay vigilant and prepare for the next storm.
