The single greatest quality of life improvement for me in the last 5 years was almost certainly Model Y FSD!
If you are buying for utility and don’t need a large SUV there is 0 reason to buy anything other than a Model Y. FSD is a starlink-on-a-flight level experience that you get to enjoy every day

This why @AntaresNuclear is building reactors for strategic energy. It's a multi-domain problem. You need nuclear power in cislunar space and on the seabed to do anything of significance.
NEW: @thejointstaff Chairman & @USSpaceForce leaders say U.S. troops need to be ready to fight outside of Earth around the moon. Caine today - “…the Joint Force is prepared to fight, endure, and win, in global contested environments, from the seabed to cislunar space.”

JUST IN FROM THE ALL-IN SUMMIT: NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman just laid out his vision for America’s next phase in space. Among his most notable remarks: • NASA expects “dozens of landers” and “dozens of rovers” to head to the Moon over the next four years, alongside major robotics and lunar resource experiments. • Isaacman said the lunar south pole has only a limited number of viable landing areas near permanently shadowed craters containing water ice, creating what he described as a race for a small number of strategic “parking spots.” • He warned China is targeting the same region, intends to build a lunar base with Russia and “will get to the Moon.” Isaacman said China is now an “incredible rival” and that “the Chinese are extremely good in space right now.” • Isaacman called SpaceX NASA’s “most important launch partner” and said the U.S. would be “seriously challenged in the high ground of space” without its capabilities. • On Mars, he argued the hardest problem is not getting astronauts there, but getting them home - and said NASA should develop nuclear-powered transfer vehicles that reduce the need to manufacture return propellant on Mars. • He said NASA’s SR-1 Freedom nuclear mission will be followed by “SR-2, SR-3, SR-4,” with technology ultimately aimed at destinations including Enceladus, Europa and Titan. In summary, the message from @NASAAdmin was clear: the next space race will be won by whoever can secure the Moon’s most valuable terrain, build permanent infrastructure there and use it as the springboard to Mars and beyond.

Love to see some well researched accurate reporting!
The American energy industry is on the verge of calamity. For the last 20 years, energy growth has flatlined while hundreds of power plants were retired. Power bills are up 29% since 2019. In July, the Department of Energy declared a “power emergency” for 67 million people. America almost solved this problem 50 years ago: via nuclear power. Then, in pursuit of maximum safetyism, we choked it off. The Department of Energy’s @SecretaryWright told us, “the nuclear industry started out with a bang, got smothered by the government… and now has been bottled up and pushed away.” One industry insider said: “You weren’t allowed to say the word ‘nuclear’ in the Biden administration for the first few years.” Now, thanks to the efforts of less than 40 government employees — and an historic collaboration between career civil servants and DOGE — we’re turning the tide. On July 4th, four companies took nuclear reactor designs “critical” (i.e., tested them), setting us on a path toward a nuclear renaissance. Here, the exclusive story of how this happened, featuring interviews with Energy Secretary Chris Wright (@SecretaryWright), Adam Blake (@adamblake), Seth Cohen (@OverReactor1776), Rian Bahran at the Department of Energy, and Stephen Miller’s deputy, Emily Underwood (@emundz42). It may take time to notice the effects in your power bill. But the decades of stagnation, fear, and absurd overregulation that have plagued nuclear for the last half-century are now (thankfully) over. Full story from @eventidia 👇

So happy to see AFA open with this as the keynote. Credible deterrence requires us to speak publicly about these matters.
During his keynote speech at @AFA_Air_Space’s Confrence, @SecAFOfficial acknowledges the U.S. now has on-orbit space weapons. A notable admission that differs from past service official speeches.

This is what common sense looks like.
The era of primarily emphasizing Stockpile Stewardship is over. Going forward we will be defined primarily as an organization focused on weapons production.

We at @AntaresNuclear will be so much more than a nuclear reactor company. We are the vanguard of the "high frontier." fission power is the horizontal enabler. Strategic energy.
Replying to @jordanbramble
Nuclear power in space is the horizontal enabler for 10x more onboard power, high-powered payloads, and a radically increased propulsion budget. This will enable a human presence and industrial activity on other celestial bodies. It will enabled orders of magnitude higher power in deep space - allowing us to melt the ice on Jupiter’s icy moons and search for extraterrestrial life. It will ultimately unlock a future $1T space economy with decades of growth, of which Antares will take a cut!

We believe space nuclear will be a much bigger market and move much faster than most people think. So we engineered to win the terrestrial and space market from the beginning. We are building a multi-product company because that’s what our military customers need.

We started @AntaresNuclear with a vision to make energy abundant from earth to the asteroid belt. We always believed nuclear energy was a multi-domain problem. Our work with @USArmy and @usairforce on Janus and ANPI lay the groundwork, and now our space business has a vector to take off.

This $161M contract allows us to invest substantial private capital alongside of the @USSpaceForce to rapidly advance the TRL of space nuclear power and propulsion systems. We will integrate our R1S space reactor design with a spacecraft, complete a ground test, and in addition, power an operational space force ground asset with the Mark-1 demo.
