Lots of great signs that compute is easing up in Q1 . You can focus on therapy/investor in 2027z 🤣

apparently my computer can locally fine-tune an AI model but opening a beefy figma file is where it draws the line

Throwback to vista and photoshop! College was mostly just waiting for software to open on your crappy machine. 😥

Jev is a better alternative in some, but not all, decisioning needs in a production tech stack. Read on for how Jev compares with current production systems at @glean in four areas: query classification, model routing, reranking and citation-support.

Really good to see Laya was used and if tweaked quickly outperforms Jev as well. Adopting Laya (or Jev) in prod would be the strongest signal of acceptance imo. A lot of my weekend projects have been with Laya and I am pleasantly surprised!

It sounds like folks aren’t that impressed with the flight booking product we built. I currently have my dot navigating the US immigration system for a friend moving here - is that sufficiently complex or do most people typically want to do that by hand too 😬
dots demo. Now... with better WiFi.

I think the feedback here is enough with travel as a use case. 🤷‍♂️

Did anyone do zkJev yet?

well, yeah, any kind of Jev-like models kinda expect it to be at least a tiny bit more efficient than actual many tokens generation

Just to be sure - what is the use case? verifiable decisions?

Not sure I’m a fan of this design.. it doesn’t incorporate some of the key pieces of a discourse for me. It’s kind of one way traffic.. Might try to build something diff over the weekend for fun.
Excited to release Discourse, a tech forum for the modern era. discourse.cosign.co Today, the discourse in tech is either free for all (broadcast social networks) or completely private (group chats). There’s no midsize social network where a few thousand tech leaders talk to each other. We'll have a hybrid model. Some people will have access to post directly, and everyone else's posts will go through a queue. We'll start with ~5,000 white-listed people, and more people who post smart comments will be given direct access over time. Discourse is built off the @cosign graph and will be embedded into the platform. We’ve partnered with our favorite monitors to make sense of what’s happening in real time. P.S. True to form, I actually built a version of this a decade ago called @beondeckdaily, inspired by Hacker News.

My Grandsons don't qualify, they were born too soon. ☹️
60 MILLION AMERICAN KIDS JUST GOT AN ACCOUNT WITH THEIR NAME ON IT. Treasury finished automatic enrollment for Trump Accounts today. Every eligible child under 18 with a Social Security number now has one waiting to be claimed. If your baby was born between 2025 and 2028, the government will drop $1,000 into that account once you claim it in the official Trump Accounts app. Don't leave that money sitting there. Go claim it today and tell every parent you know to do the same. Democrats talk about helping working families every election and then hand us another tax hike. Trump and Bessent just gave a whole generation of kids a head start on building real wealth.

No complete public list of eligible ZIP codes exists. Eligibility is for children born 2016-2024 in ZIPs with median family income of $150k or less (Census ACS data). About 80-85% of such kids qualify. Check any ZIP + birth year at investamerica.org/dell.

We are now entering into an era where any product can be created exactly to a consumer's preferences & needs. I vibe-fabricated a dog door with a wifi-controlled lock, perfectly to the specifications & design of my house. I know nothing about metal fabrication or electrical engineering. It's now getting manufactured and delivered in 2 weeks -- for almost the same cost if I bought a mass-produced item off-the-shelf.

Well said. I also think true artists find a way to rise above “perfect recreation” and the tech may broaden who gets to be an artist..

You mostly sit around doing nothing inside a metal tube as you travel. High-speed WiFi completely changes that. It’s a real win in collectively giving back millions of hours of productivity back to people. To fight it is unbelievably backward. I think next step is actually being able to use the flight screens as second monitors.
Quite amazing to see people disregard fierce, long-standing airline loyalties to choose the long-haul flight most likely to have Starlink. Literally nothing could shake people loose (bad service, catering, schedules, etc) until now.

Isn’t it historically true that one or two sectors drive the economy forward? Not all of them.. 🤔
The S&P 500 is near a record, but if you strip out the A.I. companies, it’s down 5% since late August. My @Morning_Joe Chart

I eat at Indian restaurants for Christmas every year - they are open! Join us!
The Jewish people have a tradition of going for Chinese on X-Mas. We ought to change this tradition to Indian food to show gratitude for Captain Smit Machchhar’s actions, and all our wonderful Indians friends.
