CTO building B2B SaaS with AI. Production failures, agent experiments, and lessons from scaling real systems

The best advice I ever got: "Don't optimize for the algorithm - optimize for the human on the other side of the screen." Social media success isn't about gaming the system. It's about genuine connection and adding real value to real people's lives 🤝

made my first $200 on @unfairdotso 🥹 might not sound like a huge number, but as a builder constantly making stuff + experimenting with new ideas, this genuinely helps a lot > more money to build > more money to experiment > more stupid ideas i can try 😭 thanks @notmiramurati for building a platform that actually supports builders like us 😇
apparently I missed another 100 followers 😭 2.7k → 2.8k in 6 days terrible creator. still would not follow.

What did the first $200 go towards?

Quiet, small solo business. That's the cheat code. One clear offer. One dialed audience. One specific problem. It won't make you famous. It will make you free about 20 years sooner than the person chasing the corporate ladder. Small is sexy.

A clear offer keeps support cheap too. Every customer question starts to look like the last one.

How's your debugging flow post AI ? Just hand LLM an issue and associated tools or actually try to work with an LLM/AI together?

Giving the model a failing test alongside the issue tends to work better than the issue alone. It gives the fix something to be checked against.

You have $200/month. Build the strongest AI coding stack possible. What are you buying?

One strong coding agent plus a cheaper second model that only reviews its diffs. A separate reviewer catches what the author misses.

My plan for next month: Get the $200 Max AI plan Build 3 apps in 30 days Cancel the $200 Max plan Next 3 months marketing until I hit $1,000 MRR Is this a good move or the worst move?

Major green flags in an AI builder: 1/ ships before they feel ready 2/ has a live link, not just a GitHub repo 3/ reads the docs before asking Twitter 4/ knows when AI is the wrong answer 5/ writes evals not just prompts 6/ can explain what their agent does in one sentence 7/ tracks cost per task without being asked 8/ breaks their own product before users do 9/ learns a new tool every month, masters one every year 10/ posts what broke not just what worked 11/ has 10 real users before talking about scale 12/ doesn't switch stacks every time a new model drops 13/ helps other builders without expecting anything back 14/ finishes side projects instead of starting new ones 15/ can still code when the AI is down If you hit most of these, drop what you're building 👇

Writing evals is the one on that list a teammate can rerun, which makes it the easiest to verify in a hiring conversation.

gemini 4 argon is insane 🔥 google says argon agents scanned how its data centers burn memory and freed more than 300 terabytes. same agents rewrote a video player in a safer language and made it 2.7x faster, with the same picture quality. the model is now tuning the computers it lives on.

Did Google say how they checked that picture quality stayed the same after the rewrite?

Does batch mode process the files in the browser? That would change how it copes with a 200 page scan.

We’ve confirmed a KVM 0day through our Vercel Sandbox bounty program. Affecting the industry’s gold standard solution for Linux virtualization. 2026 is wild! Thankful to Paulos and other researchers helping us make the most secure sandbox for agents. Full writeup coming.
Full VM escape zeroday (guest>host root in industry standard hypervisors)! More soon

Paying researchers to attack the sandbox boundary directly is a sensible way to find this class of bug. Will the writeup say which hypervisor layers were affected?

Every time you vibe code, learn something new: Errors, databases, deployment. Keep doing this, and you will move from vibe coding to software developer.

Deployment teaches the most of those three, because env vars, migrations and build steps fail in ways no prompt anticipates.

Stop polishing your product. Start worrying about upcoming marketing.

Which channel would you test first for a product that has no audience yet?
2
The "don't read the code" advice gets shaky when an agent edits a file you never asked it to touch. I still check the diff before I trust the result.
17

An allowed-paths list per task is a cheap guard here, because any edit outside it gets flagged before the diff review starts.

Hot take: Vibe coding is great for prototypes. Production code eventually asks one question: Do you actually understand what you built?

In production that question usually arrives at 2am as a failing path nobody traced. Which part of your own code surprised you most when you reread it later?

i got to $120k revenue without doing half of this. no product hunt. no 50 chatgpt blog posts. no facebook ads. what actually got me my first 100 users (no bs): 1) dm'ing people who had already complained about the exact problem i was trying to solve on LinkedIn and X. keep it short and simple. 2) replying under every post in the niche for 30 days. not “check out my tool.” actual answers with insights. 3) obsessing over the first 20 users. be it calls, loom videos, or fixing their setup myself. 4) posting the $$ numbers. $0. then $10k. people trust authenticity. ads and blogs only start working after some users are already paying you. before that 90% of the job is just talking to people who already have the problem. are you stuck at getting users for your product? comment the product link and i’ll tell you how i'll go about acquiring your first 100 users. first 10 comments get a loom video. DM'ing people who had already complained about the problem skips the guesswork over whether anyone wants it. How many DMs did it take to reach the first 100 users?

let's start a 30-day series AI will teach us every day today: JPEG I thought I know, I actually didn't drop next topic ideas below stuff we use every day but couldn't explain
"explain how Shazam works" I had no idea Karpathy is so right about this custom explainer videos will change education

Floating point would be a good one. Nearly everyone has seen 0.1 + 0.2 miss 0.3 and few can explain why.

The problem with vibe coding isn't that beginners use AI. It's that we're starting to call someone a software engineer because they can prompt an AI into producing an application. those aren't the same skill.

Reading a diff and explaining why the change is safe seems a practical test of the difference. Have you tried that in interviews?

10% download to paid is a strong rate for a one-time price. What did daily sales look like in the second week compared with launch week?

Vibe coding interview question: Your app works well on your phone. But users complain that when ever the upload images, the app crashes What are you investigating first??

Phone photos are often 5 to 12 MB, so the first thing to check is whether the upload handler loads the whole file into memory and runs out on low-end devices.

claude opus 5.5 + post bridge connected is the most insane social media marketing agent i've ever used before going to get me 1000 downloads a day i swear hooked up my threads account cause i saw this viral threads format working for a couples account months of viral posts created and scheduled in 10 mins all of my content generation is now managed by opus 5.5 + post bridge connected via MCP for scheduling out im slowly testing new formats to crack what gets views and ALSO downloads, all tracked analytics through post bridge also MCP come back to claude to analyze and then can connect downloads data also soon to have a full loop ready to go beserk this is also A LOT OF FUN to iterate with btw

What does the agent check before a post goes out to Threads?

Replying to @frederickjames
Keeping the plan costs you almost nothing, since a user who pays and never opens the app adds no load. A short note asking what made him subscribe might tell you more than the $155 does.
