I cannot believe the level of quality and efficiency the Opus 5.5 model has on the Max plan. Not only does it write code better than I would have written, usage is barely touched! I have given Astra the same tasks and it unfortunately struggles and eats through usage.. I along with many other customers who deplete usage within hours have been forced to constantly check for a usage reset or purchase multiple accounts. @AnthropicAI is the clear winner, they saw the writing on the wall, gave a reset and updated UI to offer them in the future BUT introduced a more efficient model and raised their usage limits so their customers do not have anxiety. @OpenAI I hope you can bring something to the table Tuesday. You now have one month.

I have zero nostalgia, the type of deep architecture work and performance tuning you can now do all by yourself was only possible if you had access to a team of 100s of top engineers just a year ago. Not only is writing code by hand not economically viable anymore, it no longer leads to better code either.

As someone who was considered a 10x coder by all his peers, I made this change 18+ months ago and it’s only gotten exponentially better.
Still it is hard for people who identified as someone who codes, not someone who solves problems. For some it’s hard, for some it’s freeing.

Millions of individual grass blades reacting to wind and your driving. Tires physically deforming based on pressure and environmental temperature. AI traffic and NPCs with full ragdoll physics. Car simulation that goes beyond the typical racing game. And one massive Mediterranean island to drive across.
Still very much a prototype, but one I aim to put on Steam one day.

Opus 5.5 literally does what I need it to do 9/10. Hands down the best model I have ever worked with. Given the right context and technical details it wipes the floor. Fantastic job @AnthropicAI
